The ski resort Zabljak is the center of Durmitor's National Park area, and capital of the mountain tourism in Montenegro.

The Tara canyon is attractive for rafting lovers from different countries.If you are not ready to raft by yourself, you can find here several programs for beginners with all needed equipment and with guiding of skilled instructors

On the periphery of Zabljak, there is the picturesque Black Lake – the largest of 18 glacial lakes, situated nearby. From here numerous marked trekking paths start. You could begin with the simplest one and walk around the Black Lake – it will take about an hour and a half. Probably, you will soon wish to come to Ice Cave (Ledena Pecina) located under the hill Obla Glava 2100 meters above sea level. There are a lot of routes of vary difficulty and duration up to 56-kilometre “Durmitor Ring” with unforgettable views of mountains and canyons.

All town travel agencies suggest various types of rafting down the Tara and Drina rivers, of duration from some hours till three days.
